All activities are risk assessed to Local Education Authority standards, hold the relevant insurances and licences to work with young people.

Junior Lifeguard

Youngsters aged 8-14 years old get a taste of what it’s like to be a beach lifeguard during this popular activity. They take part in a simulated rescue in a safe and controlled environment, using all kinds of lifeguard equipment, including rescue tubes. Although the emphasis is on fun, there is a serious beach safety message and children are taught how to spot and avoid dangers, and stay safe at the beach

Minnows

This one is designed for our youngest beach visitors aged 5-8 years. Kids accompany a lifeguard for a fun exploration of rock pools and the tide line.

Junior Surfing

This course introduces children to the joys of wave riding. Children of all abilities are given surf tips to improve their technique and confidence in the water.

Junior Bodyboarding

This activity is popular with children with little or no surf experience. The small, soft boards are manageable for younger children and allow them to ride waves with ease

Kids Parties

Zip Wire

The Zip Wire is The Adventure Centre’s answer to bungee jumping. At 750ft long and 120ft high, this aerial runway is one of Europe’s longest, highest and fastest. And it is here in Newquay, Cornwall. The zipwire is a fast, high adrenalin ride that requires a minimum level of instruction, so it is perfect for a quick buzz during your visit to the beach.Your experience on this aerial runway is finished off with a 50ft free abseil down to the sand.

Rat Run

An underground maze of dark and narrow tunnels, designed to challenge claustrophobic fears.
The mission is to negotiate, twists and turns, dead ends and obstacles in the dark.

Snakes and Ladders

Starting from the beach you will scramble up to the top of the 120ft cliff negotiating various tricky
