The band that blew us all away in 2011 with their brand of surf-rock are back on the beach. On 30th May at 18.30, the gates will open to what promises to be another spectacular performance. With support from Jonny Fenner and his band The Jeremiahs as well as a surprise act, we are in for a sandy treat!

Mercury Prize nominee Seth Lakeman will be stunning the beach with his own incredible folk-rock style of music from his new critically acclaimed solo album, Tales From The Barrel House as well as music from his earlier albums.

Hot Stone Dining

Hot Stones is a unique dining concept that involves cooking fresh meats and seafood on volcanic stone slabs. This method seals in the natural juices of the food, providing extraordinary flavour and taste.

We hope that with the backdrop of our cove, coupled with this method of dining will provide you with an unforgettable experience.

Our meat and seafoods are all locally sourced. Until our butcher has written down all of the wonderful things he wants to say about the meats we will let the freshness of his produce do the talking… 

We are growing again! Over the next 3 months we will be looking for skilled staff for all areas of our Lusty Glaze Team. Some of these positions are permanent, others seasonal but they all have one thing in common: We are looking for the best! 

In order to help our existing team, we are looking for the following immediately:

• Wedding/Events co-ordinator(s) – Weddings and Events at Lusty Glaze Beach have become a key focus for us, with a large number of extremely exciting dates already in the diary for 2013/14. As such, we are expanding our current team both on the administrative and creative side. Two positions are currently available. (Full/and or part time. Only applications which demonstrate a proven track record, experience and relevant references will be considered for these roles.

• First Aid Training Centre administrative assistant – An experienced assistant is required to provide administrative support within The Training Centre. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years office experience, an eye for detail and a proven track record with relevant references for all aspects of office administration. A deep passion for color coding and being organized is a must!

• Throughout February we will be inviting applications for the following staff:  Kitchen, bar and restaurant staff, activity instructors (cliff, surf, coasteering), beach lifeguards and additional administrative staff.

Our Beach Wedding Venue on Cornwall’s North Coast

Lusty Glaze Beach is a truly unique venue.  On golden sand and below stunning cliffs, this horse shoe shaped private cove gazes out over one of the best surf beaches in Cornwall.  In summer, the sun sets over the sea, directly in front of the covered beach decking where your guests will be soaking up the atmosphere with sandy feet, and happy faces.

You may want to hire the deck for your day.   You may want to hire the whole beach.  Whichever you choose, our coordinator will leave no pebble unturned in making sure your wedding day is as special as our little cove…

We offer bespoke weddings or have a large range of packages and ideas that you can choose from.  Being a beach venue, we are pretty laid back so if you have an idea that we haven’t tried yet, let us know, we will be glad to accommodate.  After all, it’s your wedding, your way…

Our Beach Wedding Facilities

• Restaurant for catering (we specialise in beach BBQ’s or seafood Paella)
• Covered deck and Marquee for the beach party (the whole front opens up onto the beach on a fine day!)
• Civil ceremony license (the license extends to the restaurant and the upper deck.)
• A cottage and a chalet (both sleep 6 but the cottage is nicer – so if you are the bride snap that one up.  It opens up onto the beach!)
• Wedding coordinator (our wedding coordinator Amy is famous for being amazing at prettying things up, she will do as much or as little as you require.)
• Activities (wedding couples love zip lining into their own wedding.  We have even had one groom riding in on a jetski!)
• A beach! (you can hire your own bit of private beach for a bit extra, but it’s probably only worth going for that option in main season.)
• The whole beach!  (if you want a truly private wedding, we will close the whole beach for you and control access with security.)

The Adventure Centre has the perfect gift for a friend or family member… vouchers to redeem against activities, food from the restaurant, courses at the Training Centre or even gig tickets for our 2013 Live music Sundowner Sessions at Lusty Glaze Beach. The Adventure Centre vouchers come in values of £5, £10 and £20. You can buy a single voucher or a combination of vouchers to the value of your choice, and they will be sent out to you in a special wallet.

The vouchers can be used to pay in part or full for activities. To use the vouchers, simply book through the normal booking procedures, then hand in your vouchers at reception when you come to do your activities at The Adventure Centre.

We hope you’ve had a great summer, whatever it is that you’ve been up to! Due to popular demand, we are bringing back the 3 day NBLQ renewal course and are reducing the full 6 day NBLQ course to 5 days. We are also going to offer the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification in 2013 too, dates to follow.

Please find attached, some more information about the NBLQ course which includes our complete  list of dates and prices for 2013. If you are unsure of your exact expiry date, please do feel free to give me a call. At The Training Centre, we also offer a full range of first aid and emergency medical rescue courses as well as fire marshal, health & safety and food & hygiene training. You will also see from the attached list, that we will be hosting the ISA Surf Coach award. Please call us for more information on this.

We have ample parking and a great range of recently refurbished facilities at our lovely beach venue near Newquay. Plans are also underway for new shower facilities in 2013! Having said all of this, you don’t just need to be doing a lifeguard course or equivalent to come and visit us!! We have a zip line, abseil, various other cliff activities as well as surfing, team building days, big music gigs, weddings and sporting events. We are based just on the north end of Newquay’s beaches, nestled in a little horeshoe-shaped cove between Great Western and Porth beaches.

On Wednesday the 31st of October, Lusty Glaze will be hosting a Halloween inspired Sundowner session, for all of the family.  

There will be kids games, a kids fancy dress competition, and a scary kids movie from 4 pm. There will also be a special Halloween menu running along side our famous Hot Stone menu, and Free live music with Albenaza from 8.30pm.

To celebrate the conclusion of the annual Lusty Glaze Beach Tag Rugby tournament, as well as the end of the summer holidays, AlBenAza are playing a Sundowner Session on the beach, and its FREE!  During their interval, Lusty will be setting fire to the sky with a fantastic firework display courtesy of EcoHaus and Frame UK.

South West lads Al, Ben and Aza have been mates and a band since meeting at Plymouth University in 2003, writing, recording, touring and performing all over the world.
